SHB RECEIVES VIETNAM TOP 10 REPUTATION AWARD 2019

On August 08, 2019, the award ceremony to announce Top 10 prestigious businesses in Banking – Insurance in 2019 was held in Hanoi. This is also the fourth consecutive time Saigon – Hanoi Bank (SHB) was honored in the Top 10 Vietnam most prestigious commercial banks based on the criteria of financial capacity, media reputation and customer satisfaction. SHB representative, Ms. Ninh Thi Lan Phuong – Deputy CEO, attended the ceremony and received the award.

Top 10 Vietnam prestigious commercial banks in 2019 is the result of an independent and objective research of Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company. Prestige of banks is assessed based on the results of financial assessment; media reputation assessment by media coding method and surveys of customers, banks, finance & banking experts conducted in May & June 2019.

SHB’s financial capacity and business performance are positively evaluated by its significant growth strategy in scale, focus on credit quality and determination to bring non-performing loan ratio below 3%. As of June 30, 2019, SHB has chartered capital of over VND 12,000 billion and will increase to VND 17,570 billion in 2019. Total assets are over VND 341,000 billion, profit before tax in the first 6 months of 2019 is VND 1,560 billion. From a bank with only 8 staff, 2 transaction points, SHB has developed strongly to more than 8,000 employees working in over 520 domestic and foreign transaction points, serving more than 4 million individual and corporate customers and connecting to 400 correspondent banks across continents.

At the event, SHB’s booth attracted attention of customers and businesses. SHB introduced and advised customers to experience products and services that are being implemented throughout the system such as opening number-chosen account, non-cash payment by QR code, etc. as well as many preferential deposit and credit programs for individual and corporate customers. Participating in SHB’s product experience, customers received meaningful gifts such as books, bags, notebook & card box sets, water bottles, etc.
