Through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the local Vietnam Fatherland Front, businesses of businessman Do Quang Hien continue to support more than VND 6 billion for three localities: Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai to contribute to the prevention and control of COVID-19. Thus, since the beginning of the year, the total amount contributed by these businesses for the fight against SARS-CoV-2 virus has reached nearly VND 55 billion.

In the past few days, authorities have announced cases of COVID-19 in the provinces of Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai. Immediately, the entire political, central and local health systems have joined the fight against COVID-19. Working delegations of the health sector from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have been mobilized to assist the central provinces in coping with the second wave of COVID-19 epidemic. At the same time, local authorities also prepare significant funding to ensure timely assistance to patients and people in difficulty due to quarantine and social distancing.

With their responsibilities, T&T Group, Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) and businesses such as Saigon – Hanoi Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (BSH), Aviation Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (VNI), Saigon – Hanoi Securities Joint Stock Company (SHS) decided to support a total amount of VND 6.1 billion for three localities in the Central region (including VND 2.9 billion for  Da Nang city, VND 1.6 billion for Quang Nam province and VND 1.6 billion for Quang Ngai province), contributing to the prevention and control of the epidemic caused by Corona virus.

In the afternoon of July 29, at the office of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Quang Hien, Chairman and General Director of T&T Group; Mr. Nguyen Van Le, General Director of SHB and representatives of businesses presented the entire support amount to Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the donation presenting ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the noble and humane hearts of Vietnamese businessmen and said: “Only 3 days have passed but with noble hearts, businesses like T&T Group, SHB actively contacted and directly came to Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the prevention of the epidemic. Their timely support is highly appreciated”.

Mr. Do Quang Hien said that over the past time, the whole world has acknowledged Vietnam’s achievement in the fight against Covid 19, affirming Vietnam’s prestige in the world. This success is a clear evidence of the correctness of Vietnamese institution. The current institution has created the unanimity of all Vietnamese people, thereby succeeding in the prevention of Covid 19. Mr. Hien believes that with previous experience, the current institution and the contribution of many businesses, once again, Vietnam will win, even “destroying Covid 19 more quickly than the previous time”.

This is not the first time Mr. Do Quang Hien and businesses in his ecosystem have been at the forefront of donation for social security. Taking the philosophy of “business development attached with social responsibility” as a guideline for activities, T&T Group, SHB and businessman Do Quang Hien always take care of people’s lives nationwide. T&T Group and SHB regularly sponsor and provide funding for localities to implement social welfare programs to support the poor and disadvantaged people in provinces and cities across the country.

Previously, T&T Group, in addition to donating over VND 10 billion for the prevention of COVID-19, donated over VND 20 billion to support poor households in difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in 28 provinces and cities across the country. SHB and businesses of businessman Do Quang Hien have launched the program “Firm Belief in Vietnam”, opened account to receive donations and organized free distribution of nearly 30 tons of rice and other necessities for those in difficult circumstances in 18 locations in 12 provinces and cities across the country at high risk of COVID-19 infection.

Besides, responding to the call of the Government, the State Bank of Vietnam and with the spirit of always accompanying and sharing with customers affected by the Covid 19 epidemic, SHB has actively implemented a credit package of VND 25,000 billion with many preferential interest rates, bank service fees, especially reducing loan interest rate by minimum 2% / year compared to the normal interest rate for both existing and new customers in difficulties due to the epidemic. In addition to the preferential interest rate packages, SHB continues to implement debt restructuring, debt rescheduling and maintenance of debt groups as well as interest and fee exemptions for customers in difficulties due to the epidemic in accordance with the spirit of Circular 01/2020/TT-NHNN to support customers the most comprehensively.

In addition to supporting the fight against COVID-19, T&T Group also sponsored more than 1,000 gratitude houses, equivalent to VND 60 billion for the border province of Ha Giang, as well as regularly organized gratitude activities for people with meritorious services to the country.
