On 26 November, the 2025 Red Star Awards – Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Ceremony was held in Hanoi. Mr. Do Quang Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SHB Bank, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHS, was honored as one of the Top 10 most outstanding entrepreneurs at this year’s Red Star Awards.

The Red Star Awards are a prestigious honor jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, and are held once every three years. The awards aim to recognize outstanding young entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in business leadership while making significant contributions to socio-economic development and the community.

The awards follow a three-stage selection process comprising preliminary screening, on-site assessment at the shortlisted candidates’ enterprises, and final selection. This year, the program continues to honor the Top 100 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs, from whom the 10 most exemplary individuals are selected to receive the Red Star Award.

Born in 1989, Mr. Do Quang Vinh is currently one of the most prominent young entrepreneurs in Vietnam’s finance and banking sector. With an innovative mindset, dynamism, and strategic vision, he is leading a comprehensive and robust transformation of SHB and SHS toward digitalization, modernization, and international integration, with the goal of building leading financial institutions in the region.

Prior to assuming leadership roles at SHB, Mr. Do Quang Vinh studied and worked overseas, accumulating extensive experience in financial management, investment, and corporate governance. With a youthful, creative, and decisive leadership style, he has brought a fresh impetus to SHB and SHS, placing strong emphasis on developing young talent, applying financial technology, and expanding strategic partnerships with international counterparts.

In only nine months of 2025, SHS had completed and exceeded 100% of its full-year plan, with total assets increasing by 57% year-on-year. Notably, in August 2025, SHS surpassed a market capitalization of USD 1 billion for the first time – an iconic milestone marking the company’s growing maturity and strong market recognition of both its financial capacity and long-term growth prospects.

Meanwhile, SHB ranks among the Top 5 largest private commercial joint-stock banks in Vietnam by charter capital, the Top 10 most reputable private commercial joint-stock banks in Vietnam (according to Vietnam Report), and the Top 200 largest companies in Southeast Asia as recognized by Fortune magazine (USA).
