Recently, at InterContinental Phnom PenhHotel, Kingdom of Cambodia, International Data Group (IDG) in collaboration with the National Bank of Cambodia organized the Cambodia Outstanding Banking Awards 2015. With consistent growth and development activities results, active contribution to Cambodia socio-economic development in the last 03 years, at the same time guaranteeing safety in operation, complying to the laws in the country, Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) surpassed many other banks to be honored as Cambodia Outstanding Foreign Bank 2015.

Previously, on 09/02/2012, SHB officially established SHB Cambodia branch and then 03 level-II branches including: Kampongthom, Toul Kouk, Por Senchey. Anticipated in 2015, SHB will finish upgrading SHB Cambodia Branch into a Subsidiary with 100% of capital owned by SHB in order to better support Cambodia socio-economic development. After 03 years officially in operation, SHB Cambodia Branch continuously maintains consistent growth and development, active contribution to Cambodia socio-economic development. By 31/12/2014, SHB Cambodia Branch had mobilized capital of nearly 35 million USD; Outstanding Loans was nearly 145 million USD; Profit was 2 million USD; Bad Debt Ratio was at low rate of only 0.16%. In addition, not only focusing on business operation, SHB also actively engaged in activities in social security with a view to increase life quality both materially and spiritually and contribute to local socio-cultural development. SHB has participated in many programs that sponsor and support charity like: Solidarity Front for Development of the Cambodian Motherland, Cambodian Women for Peace and Development; Supported the construction of pagodas and schools in Kampong Thom province; Supported Preah Khan Reach Football Club… On 09/10/2014, SHB Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer were awarded the Royal Order of Honour from the State and Government of Cambodia for their contribution in the construction and sustainable development of Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Cambodia Outstanding Banking Awards 2015was with an aim to honor the important role of banks in Cambodia in the development of the economy and financial sector of the country. This is a highly privileged awards that is organized by IDG, a leading company in the area, under the endorsement of the National Bank of Cambodia.
