Saigon – Hanoi Bank (SHB) has honorably received four awards from The Asian Banking and Finance (ABF), including: Vietnam Domestic Trade Finance Bank of the Year, Automobile Lending Initiative of the Year, Home Loan Product of the Year, and Credit Card Initiative of the Year. With these 4 awards, SHB has achieved “great win” in both wholesale and retail categories.
With its great advantages and wide experiences in trade finance, at the end of February 2017, SHB signed a revolving credit agreement valued USD 20 million with ADB and increased trade finance limit to USD 50 million under ADB’s Trade Finance Program (TFP). In Vietnam, SHB is one among very few banks which meet strict conditions of ADB in this Program. In addition to that, SHB’s efforts in reaching international standards were also highly recognized by ABF when it became an official member of Factors Chain International (FCI). As an official member of FCI, SHB will offer a more comprehensive and professional export factoring service. On that basis, enterprises shall benefit from various advantages such as better utilization of current credit line, elimination of export payment risks and enhancement of competitiveness, etc. This is one of the reasons why SHB was awarded Vietnam Domestic Trade Finance Bank of the Year and this is the 2nd time the Bank was presented with this award since 2014.
The Asian Banking and Finance Magazine presented Vietnam Domestic Trade Finance Bank of the Year award to SHB as a recognition of its financial capabilities and experiences.
In Retail Banking Awards, SHB was presented with three awards for its home loan, automobile lending and credit card products. Those are strategic products of SHB and highly preferred by customers for their preferential policies and flexible loan tenors. For each award, various assessment criteria were applied by ABF to make a transparent basis for selecting the award winner.
Impressed by Truong Hai auto loan and the breakthrough credit growth of 800% of SHB in this sector in 2016, ABF decided to give Automobile Lending Initiative of the Year award to SHB after considering similar credit packages of other banks. This credit growth makes SHB become one of two banks which offer Truong Hai auto loan on the market.
If “Dream apartment” product was awarded Home Loan Product of the Year for realizing the dream of many young people and family and greatly contributing to credit growth of the Bank, “SHB – FCB MasterCard” was awarded Credit Card Initiative of the Year owning to its difference by being launched as a co-brand product between SHB and FC Barcelona – a world leading football club. This difference once was highly recognized by The Asian Banker magazine with the award Brand Initiative of the Year 2016.
