On 07/04/2016, Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) participated in the program named “One Heart – One World” organized for the 13th time by Vietnam Association for support to the People with disabilities and Orphans at Friendship Cultural Palace. At the event, on behalf of SHB, Ms. Ninh Thi Lan Phuong – Deputy General Director gave the amount of VND 100 million to the Association.

“One Heart – One World” is an annual event organized on the occasion of Vietnamese People With Disabilities Day (18/04/2016) with the participation of many famous singers. “One Heart – One World” has become familiar with the public on every anniversary of care and protection of Vietnamese people with disabilities in order to appreciate the local and international business, organizations and individuals who are in collaboration with Vietnam Association for support to the People with disabilities and Orphans to provide material and spiritual supports to people with disabilities and orphans.

As a sponsor of the program, Ms. Ninh Thi Lan Phuong – SHB Deputy General Director said: “Corporate Social Responsibilities which have always accompanied with the business of SHB, are an important goal to aim at and perform with sympathy and understanding. By sponsoring such a charity program, SHB desires to make useful contributions to Vietnamese people with disabilities and orphans to overcome difficulties in life, integrate with the community thereby partly bringing values to the social welfare and national economy.

This year’s program aims to honor typical people with disabilities and active individuals and entities in bringing  people with disabilities to become integrated with the community. At the same time, the program also calls for the community to join hands in supporting people with disabilities and orphans so that they may have opportunities to benefit long-term and sustainable care and protection.

As a bank in Top 5 private commercial banks in Vietnam, during 23 years of development, SHB has made active contributions to the community such as: providing support for pediatric patients suffering from congenital heart disease in Hanoi Heart Hospital; Support for building patient treatment and ancillary items at Hoai Nhon District Medical Center – Binh Dinh, savings books for former women Volunteer Youth on the 65th Anniversary of Volunteer Youth and 85th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union; Support for people to overcome the consequences of record rainfall in Quang Ninh; Donation of hundreds of million VND and hundreds of gifts for the poor and orphans in the provinces and cities with SHB’s presence and many other social activities.
