On October 12, 2023, in the Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2023 of Hanoi National University, SHB Bank provided numerous financial assistances for the University and students to firmly demonstrate SHB’s strong commitment to developing education, attracting and nurturing talent.

At the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 academic year, SHB Financial Assistance and Talent Incubation Fund sponsored Hanoi National University (VNU) VND 10 billion disbursed within 5 years to invest in learning, teaching and research facility, provide financial assistance to university-wide talented and needy students of all majors during 4-year courses and fund internship and practice visit programs etc.

Ms. Ngo Thu Ha – CEO on behalf of SHB Financial Assistance and Talent Incubation Fund sponsored Hanoi National University (VNU) VND 10 billion.

On the same day, SHB also sponsored VNU-HN 30 water purifiers and 50 benches on campus and dormitories, with a total value of nearly VND 800 million.

SHB representative said that ” VNU-HN is a tertiary institution that have produced generations of excellent students, providing high-quality human resources for Vietnamese businesses including SHB. We are always ready and proud to accompany VNU-HN in training, especially in banking and finance. In the coming time, SHB will further support VNU, providing more customized products and services in the development path”

In addition, pop-up booth was set up to bring products, services and many attractive gifts and incentives to lecturers, staff and students.

Mr. Do Duc Hai – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy CEO of SHB sponsored 30 water purifiers and 50 benches on campus and dormitories.

Previously, at the end of 2022, SHB and VNU-HN signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement which serves as an important foundation to further implement high-quality education projects that meet international standards, improve human resources quality, and contribute to the sustainable development of the country. SHB and VNU-HN exploit mutual strengths to realize the goals of both sides such as promoting research capacity, exchange of experience, knowledge and professional skills and providing banking financial software to students.

SHB also announced the sponsorship of “SHB – VNU Core banking Center” project expected to become Banking and Finance training model in line with international standards. In addition, SHB shall build a high-quality Banking and Finance Technology training center on VNU campus. The two sides will also coordinate to carry out research projects that can enhance business efficiency
and design customized training programs.

In particular, in May 2023, Mr. Do Quang Hien – Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Development of VNU-HN in recognition of his remarkable contributions.

Chairman Hien, a K24 alumnus – majoring in Physics at previously known as General University (now VNU-HN), was elected as the Chairman of the Business Alumni Club of VNU-HN consisted of 28 national successful entrepreneurs in different key sectors.

Contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam National University-Hanoi in particular as well as the development of science, technology, and education in Vietnam in general, Chairman Hien and his businesses have initiated may cooperation and sponsorship programs for VNU-HN and its generations of students and graduate students.

Recently, in addition to VNU-HN, SHB has been promoting cooperation with prestigious universities across the country to stimulate research and education investment.
