On 11 Nov 2014 in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) was presented ASEAN Business Awards by ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) at ASEAN Business & Investment Summit 2014 (ASEAN BIS). Accordingly, SHB was honorably awarded as “Vietnam Large Corporate Excellence” and on behalf of Vietnam in a race for ASEAN Corporate Excellence with other 09 large enterprises from other ASEAN member countries.

ASEAN Business Awards 2014 were directly presented by Myanmar President and Cambodia Prime Minister at an event with more than 1,000 delegates being senior government officials, enterprise leaders and reporters from 10 ASEAN member countries.

Mrs. Ngô Thu Hà – Deputy General Director – on behalf of SHB received ASEAN Business Awards.

SHB has affirmed its position in Vietnam’s banking industry and is heading for international market thanks to its  over 20 years of experience in banking and a wide network all over Vietnam and Indochina region. Mrs. Ngô Thu Hà – Deputy General Director – who received the award on behalf of SHB said: “We highly appreciate the importance and transparency of ASEAN Business Awards. It is an honor of SHB to be voted and presented with this reputable award. The award again affirmed the recognition of Vietnam as well as other ASEAN countries of reputation, brand name, product & service quality and especially recent outstanding achievements of SHB”.

ASEAN Business Awards is an annual award held by ASEAN BAC in cooperation with KPMG – a leading audit firm – since 2007. ASEAN Business Awards is a leading award for ASEAN enterprises with the aim of honoring ASEAN enterprises with local successes and development and potentials for global integration. The awards have so far been given to 60 typical ASEAN enterprises. The award would help to promote ASEAN enterprises, strengthen global competitiveness and become a model of success for regional enterprises.

Recently, SHB has been voted as “Most Innovative Bank in Vietnam 2014” by International Finance Magazine (UK) for breakthroughs in product innovation, especially in application of information technology in design and distribution of products on the basis of Intellect core-banking system provided by Polaris vender. SHB has been the first commercial bank in Vietnam to be presented with this award so far.
