With meaningful activities contributing to the community during its 25 years of construction and development, recently, Saigon – Hanoi Bank (SHB) was honoured by Asiamoney Magazine as “Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam” in 2018.

Asiamoney is one of Asia’s most prestigious magazines in economy – finance – banking with millions of readers. Asiamoney, with its leading position and prestige, periodically hosts the award programs for banks with outstanding regional and national activities.

For the prize category of “Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam”, Asiamoney evaluated through detailed information, specific data of projects that the bank has implemented. In addition, Asiamoney also dispatched the most veteran editorial staff to each country to meet, interview in person and learn about the realities of banks in that country. From the information gathered, Asiamoney’s team of editors, journalists and researchers will conduct analysis and research to make a final election decision to ensure the evaluation is accurate, objective and comprehensive.

Asiamoney highly appreciates SHB for its clear strategy of continually contributing and performing social responsibilities to the community through investment activities in many areas such as education, culture – arts, sports and health, and supporting families with difficult circumstances in society … During the past 5 years, with hundreds of billion VND budget, SHB has effectively implemented several long-term social security projects as well as short-term development oriented activities from time to time. Especially, from the beginning of 2018, SHB has implemented many social security activities, such as the “Sharing love – Lighting the future” program to award scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties, building 20 houses of “Warm love of comrades” for Quang Tri ancient citadel soldiers with extremely difficult circumstances in 18 provinces and cities nationwide; supporting over 4 billion VND to build the Temple of Dong Loc fork in Ha Tinh province …
