Project owners are entitled to 1.5% interest rate reduction and support of consulting costs for technical issues, dam safety and social environment issue.

  • Preferential interest rate: project owners who borrow from SHB are entitled to a direct interest rate reduction of 5% p.a. offered by WB.
  • Project owners are supported with consulting costs for technical issues, dam safety and social environment issue.
  • Borrower is eligible to participate in Carbon finance program (CO2 emissions trading) on the basis of voluntary agreements with competitive price and may authorize the PMU to conduct transactions with WB carbon finance unit.
  • Flexible principal and interest repayment period depending on the owner’s repayment capacity.
  • Loan tenor: medium & long-term loans up to 15 years.
  • maximum principal grace period is equal to construction period.

Loan amount is up to 80% of total Project investment.

  • Owners of renewable energy projects with installed capacity of equal to or less than 30 MW using technology: wind, solar, hydropower, biomass and biogas.
  • Loan Application (under SHB form)
  • Investment report, feasibility study report, basic design, land clearance permit, construction permit, environmental impact assessment report/environmental commitment, resettlement plan, etc. approved by the competent authority.
